Used Transmission Control Module for Medium-Duty Trucks
Transmission control modules for Aisin, Allison and TorqShift automatics — the fix for limp mode that isn’t the transmission.
- Used OEM part
- Tested before shipping
- Electronics warranty
- Ships to the lower 48

A truck stuck in limp mode with harsh shifts and a P0700 doesn’t always need a transmission. On the Isuzu NPR/NQR’s Aisin A465, the Allison 1000 in Kodiak/TopKick and GM 4500/5500, and the Aisin in Ram 4500/5500, the transmission control module is a separate box — and when it fails from heat, vibration or a voltage spike, a used module is a same-week fix instead of a transmission job.
We stock used OEM TCMs from running donor trucks with the same transmission and calibration, tested before shipping and covered by our electronics warranty.
Signs your transmission control module has failed
- Stuck in limp mode (one gear), harsh or delayed shifts, or no upshift
- P0700 with U0101 (lost communication with TCM) or internal TCM codes (P0603, P0605, P062F)
- Shift quality changes once the truck is hot
- No reverse or intermittent neutral with no mechanical noise
- Transmission warning light after a fresh fluid change and a clean pan
Before you order
- Send the part number from the TCM label and your VIN — Aisin and Allison modules are calibration-specific to engine, axle ratio and model year.
- Allison TCMs (GM) need programming with your VIN after installation; Isuzu Aisin units are usually plug-and-play with the correct part number; ask us about your Ford or Ram.
- Confirm the shift solenoids, transmission range sensor and wiring aren’t the real cause — a solenoid code is not a TCM code.
- Change fluid and filter and clear adaptives after installation so the module learns your transmission.

Frequently asked questions
Which trucks do you stock a used Transmission Control Module for?
Isuzu NPR, NQR and NRR; Ford F-450 and F-550; Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 4500HD/5500HD plus Kodiak and TopKick C4500; Ram 4500 and 5500; and Mitsubishi Fuso Canter FE125–FE180. Pick your truck below or send us your VIN.
Is a used Transmission Control Module tested before it ships?
Yes. Every transmission control module we sell is pulled from a running donor truck, inspected and tested before it ships.
How do I get a quote for a used Transmission Control Module?
Use the form on this page or call us. Share your truck and VIN and we confirm exact fitment, then call you back with a price in about 30 seconds during business hours — or email it if we can’t reach you.
Is a used Transmission Control Module covered by a warranty?
Yes — used electronics like this transmission control module are backed by our warranty, a category most sellers exclude entirely. Exact terms are confirmed on your quote.
Do you ship a used Transmission Control Module nationwide?
Yes — we ship to all 48 contiguous states with tracked delivery. Most parts arrive in 3–7 business days; engines, transmissions and axles ship freight and typically arrive in 5–10.
Is my truck’s TCM a separate module?
On Isuzu NPR/NQR/NRR (Aisin A465), GM Allison-equipped trucks and Ram 4500/5500 (Aisin AS69RC), yes — it’s a separate box. On many Ford TorqShift trucks the transmission strategy lives inside the PCM; tell us your truck and we’ll point you to the right part.
Will a used TCM fix limp mode?
If the codes are internal to the TCM, or a lost-communication code with good power and ground, yes. If the code is a solenoid, speed-sensor or pressure fault, the transmission itself needs attention — we stock those too.
Is a used electronic module covered by a warranty?
Yes. Electronics are covered under our warranty — a category most used-parts sellers refuse to warranty at all. Programming, where your truck needs it, is the buyer’s responsibility unless agreed on your quote.
