GVWR is what separates F-450 from F-550 within the same engine generation: the F-550 carries a higher weight rating, which typically means a heavier rear axle, different brake sizing, and dual rear wheels as standard (F-450 configurations have varied by year on single vs. dual rear wheels). Running-gear parts sized to GVWR should be matched by exact model, not assumed interchangeable between the two.
